NBA 2K17 Will Appear In PS4 Tournaments And Nintendo Switch
This month, nothing can stop NBA 2K17 from storming the gaming world in terms of recent news.
Nintendo NX Is Known As Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has revealed its upcoming console, Nintendo switch, and while the trailer focused on the console the company has also revealed some games that will be available for the console. 2K’s NBA 2K17 also made an appearance in the video.
Nintendo has revealed that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered, NBA 2K17 will be available for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo also revealed that Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild will be available for for Nintendo’s next console, but we already know that.
In the official gameplay demo, Nintendo shows the console running games like Skyrim and NBA 2K17.
Set to launch in March 2017, games for the Switch will be released on cartridges and players will be able to “switch” between playing on their TV with the Switch Dock or taking them on the road with a tablet-sized screen and controllers that click into place on the edges. A “Pro Controller” option will also be available, and certain games will feature a Wii-style “Remote + Nunchuk” control scheme for gaming on the go (with a kickstand for the screen). If you’d prefer a more traditional setup, the controllers can be attached to a Joy-Con Grip to better emulate a regular controller.
Sony And ESL Bring Competitive Gaming To The PlayStation 4
Sony has partnered with ESL to introduce a new Tournaments feature to the PlayStation 4. This feature will allow players to participate in tournaments across a variety of supported games.
The first Major tournament will be for NBA 2K17, and will run from 27 October – 26 November, with Major Cup rounds occurring every Saturday. NBA 2K17 will kick off the first of the PS4 tournaments, marking the beginning of the NBA season.
The top three finalists of the tournament will receive a prize pack which includes a number of PlayStation accessories.
A PlayStation Plus subscription is required in order to enter a tournament for any game, and you will also have to create or link an ESL account before registering for the tournament.
Tournaments currently only support 1v1 matches and can be located under the Events section on the PS4 system menu.
For 2K fans, nothing can stop them from heading into the game after that.
